  • You may have a virus and need help. In a number of cases, the virus protector is unable to successfully clean or remove the file. However, you should still be alerted (even if the anti virus software claims to refuse to start).   • These updates are called critical windows updates or service pack updates, and as the name suggests, are classed as critical updates, however, some people are either unable or do not carry out these updates.

A recent warning to update regularly, came when it was confirmed that a critical update was available for use before a well known virus was set to "blow". Those that updated their windows in a timely fashion were protected from the virus.
